Obituary.
On Thursday afternoon, at thfe Hospital, .there.passed away an, old identity of Waimate, in the personofFrederickLudwigS oldfe, familiarly known as “ Old Louie,” who had been ailing for some time past. Decease 1, who had reached the ripe old age of eighty, came to Waimate about twenty-six years ago, and hailed frcm Hamburg. It is supposed that he was at one tithe secretary to the lafte. Prince Bismarck, He madi Waituna bis home, having spent most of his time at the residence of Mr H. Meyer. The funeral of deceased takes place to-day, leaving the Hospital at £ p.m.>, and pro■caeding to St. Augustine’s Church, thence to the cemetery.
