Fat Cattle. — 213 head were yarcUd. These included some vtry good sorts, and ihere wai a keen demand, and prices were mor« than upheld — viz., 20» to 22s psr 1001b for prime beef ; 17s 6d to 19s for good, and down to 15s. for cow and inferior. Good steer • ran from £7 10* to £8 10s, and up to £10 7s 6d for «xtra j prime, and from £5 17s 6d to £7 for lighter sortf . Heifers, £7 to £8 7a 6d Jar best, and down to 24 for others ; prim cows, £7 to £8 2s 6d, and down U £4 fo: •then. Fat Sheep (mixed).— The yarding was mind, including tomt rery good linoi of both w«thera and butchers' swea. Fflt Lambs — Th« bulk of the yarding was of moderate quality, and in sympathy with the London mirket a decline took place. From quality brought from 12b to 15e for one small lot. | Store bheop. — Th» yarding was mixed, and the salt throughout was good. Bioeding ewes were in demand, and hoggets sold extremely well. Wethers, 13s lid ; breeding ewes, 16s lOd ; hoggota, 12s 2d. Pig«. — All classes were well represented, and a clearance wa* made at late rates* For stores there was a good demand. Bacoiicri brought 30s to 40i ; porkers, 32s 6d ; storea, 17s ; suckers and veaners, 5s 6s 6d. J
