CHEVIOT'S PORT.
The report of the Port Bobinsou harbourmaster, Mr J. Sinclair, was laid on the table of the House this af iernoon. He ascribes the decrease in revenue of some £75 to the County Council having reduced the shipping charges on wheat f roro 6s to 5s per ton, also to the falling off in some lines of imports. Everything in connection with tha harbour works, says Mr Sinclair, has worked satisfactorily. The groin erected for the protection of the foreshore is nowfinished, and the shingle is accumulating in front as intended. The remainder of the report is statistical.
