TROUBLES OF THE EXPEDITION.

Yesterday the officers and crew cf tin; steamer Wairca wore paid off by Messrs Stevenson and Cook.

This afternoon an application was made in tho Admiralty Division of the Supremo Court by air. W. C. AlcGrcgor, acting for Messrs Stevenson and Cook. Stevenson and Cook had initiated an action for tho cost of repairs and necessaries. Mr. E. C. May, applied for leave to intervene, and also applied that the suit bo set aside. He now abandoned those proceedings, so that tho only matter before Mr. Justice Williams was the motion for tho sale of tho ship. Mr. 'MacGregor mentioned that the claims were; — Stevenson and Cook nearly '£•so9; wages (which they had advanced) nearly £400; and mortgage £SOO. The first claim would bo the wages, then tho mortgage, and if there was enough left, Stevenson and Cook would get paid. His Honour male an order that Stevenson and Cook be at liberty to sell, on tho consent of the registered owner (Sir. D. Anderson) bo obtained and filed in Court.
