VARIOUS DOMINION ITEMS. [ran PRESS ASSOCIATION.- -COPYRIGHT.] JEWISH RABBI INVITED. DUNEDIN, June 18.—The Jewish community in Dunedin have given a call to tho Rev. M. Diniond, of Newcastle, Now South Wales. THREE HOUSES DESTROYED. WELLINGTON, June 19.—At an early hour this morning three dwelling houses in Sutherland Road, Lyall Bay, and their contents, were destroyed by a lire, which originated in a five-roomed cottage occupied by Messrs P. McColl, R. Morton and F. Fnrrell, who had loft some clothes to dry in front of tho grate. Tho house was owned by James Mcßain and was insured in the Phoenix for £3OO. Tho contents wore insured in tho Ocean Coy. for £155. The soccud house of six rooms burned down was owned and occupied by Mrs Agnes Mcßain and wa.i insured in the State for £4OO. Tho same office also held a risk of £l5O on the contents. The third house, a fiveroomed ono, destroyed was owned by Murdoch and Wallis and occupied by Charles M. Jenkins. It was insured in tho South British for £4OO. There was no insurance of the contents.
