STRONG REMARKS BY MAGISTRATE, AUCKLAND, June 16. The heaving of the case of Leah" Lillian Indev v. William Francis Tudor, to recover £lO2, alleged to bo duo as arrears of maintenance guaranteed under deed of separation mutually agreed upon, was resumed by Mr. Kettle, S.M., yesterday. Mr Singer appeared for the complainant and Mr. Denniston for defendant.

Mr. Singer stated that since the adjournment some extremely important evidence had come to his knowledge, and he had subpoonod other witnesses to giro evidence as to certain facts he had been informed of with regard to some of the witnesses for the defence, and he thought ho should ho afforded an opportunity of cross-examining them again.

Mr. Kettle: Those witnesses are discharged from attendance. Mr. Singer: Your Worship said you were going to search this case to the bottom. Mr, Kettle said that when the case was finished ho would report the whole circumstances to the police, as it was evident there had been the grossest perjury on one side or the other, apparently conspiracy. . Mr. Siiiger: Fortunately I can prove it. • Mr. Kettle said that if such wore the .case Mr. Singer had only to lay all the facts before the police.

Mr. Singer and Mr. Denniston both offered to give every assistance if his Worship reported the facts to the police. Further evidence' was then heard, and the case adjourned to enable another witness to be called.
