The Main Trunk is blocked by a slip on the lino at Ronootauao south of the tunnel. This morning the passenger train from Taumnrunui to Auckland was detained half an hour by signs of the line sliping. Eventually the train crawled over the place. Later in the day the lino slipped tour feet. A large gang of men were put on to make a deviation, but it is anticipated that the work will not be completed before to-morrow niglit at the earliest, till then the service is expected to he completely blocked, and passengers and mails will have to be transhipped at the slip. At the place whore the slip occurred the high papa country is liable to shift, Thera is no accommodation, and passengers have rather an uncomfortable lime. The Mangnokewa river at Te Kuiti is in a state of flood, and the road on the eastern side of the town is under water. No damage is reported at Te Kuiti. 'The Awnkino road is flooded by the Mokau river between nine and ten miles from To Kuiti. The coach was several hours late from Mahoonui and Aria to-day. No serious damage has occurred.
