THE VETO RESENTED. [PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COP Vi: 1C... I CHRISTCHURCH, June 17. A meeting of railway men held yesterday, decided to urge upon the Executive of the Society the importance of Parliament reviewing the position regarding the Ministerial veto on Appeal Board decisions. A motion of sympathy was carried with Guard Cadir.an, who case gave rise to the discussion. Messrs W. Veitch, M.P. for Wanganui. and J. H. Robertson, M.P. for Otaki, addressed the meeting, advocating the abolition of the right of veto.
