AMUSEMENTS.
POLLARD’S PICTURES.
• - ALTERATION IN THE DATE. It has been found necessary by Mr Pollard, owing to the non-arrival of the films, to show to-morrow night, when he will present another of his all-new star programmes. It will bo seen by the list published in another column that there is plenty of variety. With four powerful dramas, by different producers, throe now and humorous comedies, a new topical “Gazette,” and several scenic and travel studies. The bill of faro offered should please the most fastidious. One of the dramas, “A Surgeon’s Heroism,” is a remarkable production showing the loves of two men for a woman, the accident that befalls one, and the noble self-sacrifice of the other, a doctor, who saves his rival’s life. Since advertising in Saturday’s issue the programme for to-night, Mr. Pollard received a wire that included in the list is the groat annual boatrace between Oxford and Cambridge. It shows the race from start to finish and gives an excellent idea of the struggle for supremacy between the rival universities. $ will bo shown in addition to the list already published.
