CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 16. Mr. H. W. Bishop, district coroner, continued the inquest to-day in regard to the death of Henry Symonds who was picked up in front of the Royal George Hotel in Fitzgerald Avenue and who died in the Hospital. After hearing the evidence the Coroner returned a verdict that deceased had died from the result of injuries to the brain caused by a fall on the pavement and was due to being pushed by Albert David William Clements, on June 3rd.

Albert Clements was brought before the Court on a charge of assault. On tho application of Chief Deteo tive Bishop, the charge was withdraw and one of manslaughter made. Tho Magistrate granted a remand 1 until Tuesday.
