A metropolitan paper declares that tlie turf was never more prosperous, yeo it is doubtful if its morale was over at a lower ebb.

There may ho no jockeys’ ring, but there arc cliques of riders in collusion with each other, and it is suspected that occasionally the owners are taken down by' them.
