DRIVER’S ROYAL ILLUSIONISTS.
The entertainment to bo given by Mr Driver at the Princess Theatre, Hokitika on Wednesday next promise;; to be something out of the ordinary, lie will bo as;isted by a clever company including Mile M. Reno, the brilliant solo pianoisto, and will present a performance quite new to Hokitika. The pi ess and public unanimously agree that Driver is the highest example amongst the exponents of mystery. Driver is original. Ho is a worker of wonders, presents nothing that is old copies no one. The effects that lie produces, admittedly illusions, arc so | clever that science is baffled and vision is discredited by the belief to beholders that sec all their world and its lawset at naught. AVhat is impossible to others be makes real. The theatregoers of Hokitika will see for the first lime feats that have been described by travellers from the homo of magic by tlio.c who have seen the Fakirs of India and the sorcerers of Egypt at their best; feats that have been described but never until now produced. Driver performs them all; and as to the soirit mediums and their so called phenomena, Mr. Driver is able to produce all
the manifestations of the most celebrated mediums, and this he does on a n ell-lighted stage, and surrounded by a committee of gentlemen selected from the audience. Altogether the entertainments presented by Mr Driver and Ins company are such as appeal to all sections of a community, and should draw a largo audience.
