WELLINGTON, April 10.—At the third animal conference of the New Zealand shearers and wool shod employees association to-day representing about 450 workers, it was decided to take a. ballot next shearing season as tt whether the union should cancel regi tration under the Arbitration Act.

HAIRY FACTORY DESTROYED. DUNEDIN, April 10.—The dairy factory at Ratanui, owned by Daniel Oldham, was destroyed by fire this morning. THE YACHT EDNA. AUCKLAND, April 11.—The fishing yacht Edna was wrecked at Pigeons and is n total losr. She was driven ashore by the heavy sea. . The owner, Gallagher, the only man on board, was rescued by a scow.
