Club met this morning, and after an exhaustive inquiry into the protest lodged against May Dillon, winner of the Express Handicap, decided to award:the race to May Dillon. An appeal having been lodged, the totalisator money will be impounded until it is decided .

A DISQUALIFICATION. CHRISTCHURCH, April, 20. As a result of the performance shown ; by Apple Pie in'the Beginners Handicap yesterday, the' Stewards of the New Zealand Metropolitan’ Trotting Club decided to disqualify the mare and her owner and rider ■ (R. Humphreys), until December 31st next;
