VETO BILL DEBATE. QUESTION OF PAYMENT OF MEMBERS. |to AwiocMTiwt. —corraicnr.. LONDON, April 19. Lord Hugh Cecil, in the Honse of Commons, moved an amendment to the Veto Bill to the effect thar any measure for the payment of members should not be regarded as a money Bill. This was rejected by 186 to 128.

ALIENS IN BRITAIN. LONDON, April 18.— Mr Churchill in introducing the Aliens Bill in the House of Commons, said that the Bill requires in certain specified cases two sureties for good behaviour for five years. Those already resident for five years would he exempted from this danse . The penalty for returning after expulsion would be -twelve month's imprisonment for the first time and two> years for the second. Mr Churchill added that the Government were introducing a Pistol Bill in the House of Lords. (Laughter). It wnold require aliens to obtain a permit to keep pistols and would also enabale their premises to he searched.
