SEDDON-WARD RAILWAY.
OPENED BY HON. R. McKENZIE. [■PBR PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT ] FLAXBOURNE, April, 18. The ■ Seddon-Ward section of the South Island Main Trunk Railway,' 14 miles 44 chains' in length was, opened on Saturday by the Hon R. McKenzie in the presence of a very assemblage of settlers. : *The train brought a big crowd from Blenheim and Seddon. I After-short speeches by the Minister and Mr J. Duncan, member for the district, the train steamed into the • platform and severed a ribbon held by two of the oldest lady residents in the ;■ district. i 'After a formal opening the Minister was entertained at a banquet, by the Band Railway League and Chamber of Commerce.
