LORD KITCHENER'S TOUR.
AN EYE FOR HORSEFLESH
NAPIER, March 14
The object of Lord Kitchener’s visit to Maraekakoho yesterday was to see the horses, the Meld Marshal benig very much interested in the question of suitable remounts for the Imperial Array.
Shortly after his arrival in Napier on Saturday evening the Mayor (Mr J. Vigor Brown, M.P.) made an informal call ,and spent about a quarter of an hour with him. Lord Kitchener expressed himself as pleased with his visit to New Zealand and stated that he was particularly interested in the Hot Lakes district, through which he had just travelled.
