THE SYDNEY TRAGEDY. SYDNEY, March 10.—Lovett, when charged with the murder of his wife, swooned in the dock. He was remanded till after the inquest. THE FEDERAL ELECTIONS. MELBOURNE, March 16.—Nominations for the Federal elections closed to-day. Glynn (Attorney-General), Hon. Chapman (N.S.W.)), Archibald (01-Leader of the South Australian State Labour Party) were returned unopposed. THE DEATH PENALTY. ADELAIDE, March 16.—Robinsdn has been excutcd for the murder of Wenworth on December 24th. Death was instantaeous.
EXPLORING THE NORTHERN TERRITORY. ADELAIDE, March 16..—Ain influential syndicate has been formed in London to explore the Northern Territory for gold and other minerals. ANOTHER TRAIN ACCIDENT SYDNEY, March 16—A ballast train bolted after leaving Ardglen, near Murrnndi, and ran into a dead end. Fifteen trucks toppled over the embankment. The driver (Higgins) was seriously hurt, and the fireman sustained minor injuries.
