PREMIER LEAVES TO-DAY, . / MESSAGE FOR HOKITIKA. The Mayor yesterday on behalf of the citizens wired Sir Joseph Ward wishing him a pleasant voyage, and late in the evening received the following telegram in reply. — H. L. Michel, Esq., Mayor, Hokitika. — On behalf of Lady Ward and myself I extend to you and the citizens of Hokitika my sincere thanks for kind wishes for a pleasant voyage and safe return. I leave New Zealand with a deep sense of my responsibility and of the vital importance of the subjects to be discussed at the Conference. — (Signed). J. G. Ward.
