SATURDAY'S MATCHES,
The Hokitika and Grey seniors met in the return cup match on Saturday at Greymouth, Hokitika wiuning by 6 points, to 57~ Tbe Grey team got to work at the start and kept tbe visitors busily defending, Hokitika being bard pressed on several occasions. After 20 minutes play Kettlety broke through and scored near the corner flag, and O'Donnell, kicked a fine goal. This had the •ffeot of livening tbe reds up a little but it was some time before they made much headway. After one or two rushes Dowjell got in at the south-eat tim corner but tbe kick at goal, although a good one, was not auccej-sf 1. Piay of an even obaraoter followed till juft on half -time when A. Wilson v a' successful in pacing a goal from a peta'ty, making the score Hokitika 6. Grey 5. Iv tbe second half tbe Grey team bad something the be9t of tbe play and fad a number of good chances of scoring, Sweetuiau in particular being very close at times. The reds time and a^am cLsi-dd their line juat when it looked an easy matter for Grey to Bcore. The visitors also had their opportunities of scoring, but they lacked the determination, which usually carries them through. KoiUrjngi beat Riniu at Rimu by 11 point* to 3.
At Greymouth tbe Brunner team beat Collieries by 20 points to 3. Blackball juniors forfeited to Grey 11. Stir 111 beat United 111 by 3 points to nil. >
