Allan Hincbdiffe,' was charged at tke Magistrate* Court to-day with attempted murder of Mabel Clarke on sth February. Tbe pair caused a sensatron on tbat date by announcing their determination to die together. It waa alleged that tbe man administered pofs jn to his financee, Hiss Clarke, and then took some himself. In giving evidence to day Miss Clarke said she could not remember how she got the poison. She had been intimate with Hinchcliffe and her mother had discovered tbe fact. Hinchcliffe had »aid previously it was better for them both to die.
