Worthington was found guilty on fofir counts of obtaining Madame Juveney's money on false * pretences. He was remanded for sentence. (Received 0ct.29 at 12,44 a m) ■ « Melbourne, Oct 28 The judge gave a, very lengthy summing up strongly against Worthington. He was especially * severe on the representations he made to Madame Juveny in reference to the alleged fortune left by his aunt with a view to -inducing her to advance money He was scathingly condemned for allowing his counsel to insinuate that Madame Juveny induced him to leave his wife for certam purposes and to insinuate to the effect tnab *he bought his embraces with all her
property.
His Honour characterised some of thto accuseds explanations regrrding corres. pondence as unintelligible.
