London, Oot 28 In the House of ' Commons, O'Brien moved" the adjournment in order to denounce the proclamation of Dablin and nine counties'under the Crimes Act, : The motion- was .defeated by 215 to I2i - Wyndham speaking to O'Brien's «otio& declared the object of the gUnited Irish League was to expel the British 'Garrison thus rendering the Government of &$«
land impossible. ' He added Government would not recede an. inch in the protection of the persecuted or from tho prosecution of intimidators. Jiannerman condemned the harshness ef the sentences passed under the Crimes Act.
