DRAINAGE ON THAMES GOLOFIELD.

The d T ain3ge of the deep levels on which the future of the Thames Goldfield practically depeuds, was discussed at at the Drainage Board meeting, to-day. Tbe Thames Hauraki iioy, which with £25,000 of a Government subsidy, put up a huge pumping plant, is now in arrears to the Drainage Board to the extent of £1300.

The representatives now at Home report the arrangements in connection with the liquidation of the Standard Coy parent to the Thames Hauraki Coy are complicated and further time is required before the New Zealand creditors can be satisfied.

The Hon A J Cadman and Mr Harris Attorney for Hauraki, with' tbe solicitor for the same, acting with the official receiver to effect order out of the chaotic position of the parent company are hope* ful tor further capital to enable a number oE deep holes to be prospected and opened up. The Board decided to obtain judgment for all the drainage fees due. As judgment has already been obtained for over a thousand, further action has been held over until additioual news is cabled from Home.
