STRIKE AT NEWTON RIVER.
Nelson, Sept 6 The Central Buller correspondent of the Colonist telegraphs to-night that in consequence of the posting of a cotice prohibiting them residing at, or visiting the local hotels, tbe employees of Neville and Perkiu's sluicing race, Newton rivec, numbering fifty, have ceased work and refuse to return till tbe restriction is withdrawn .
