RAILWAY LEAGUE.
A largely attended public meeting was heM in Ross on Monday evening to con sider the projrosnl to form a Railway League. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Grimmond that a Railway League be formed for the pnrpose of obtaining information and urging on the Government th* necessity for constructing a railwaj from Hokitika to Ross. It was Resolved "teat the League consisi of the Mayor and members of the Ros Borough Council, the County Cbairmar and members of the County Council Messrs Winchester.
