(Received April 28, at 9.15 a.m.) London, April 27. It ie announced the Imperial Government has decided to contribute to the' Pacific cable. England's contribution will take the shape of a yearly subsidy of the amount* of guarantee recommended in'the report of the commission of 1896. The cable is to bs laid between Vancouver, Fanning Island', Fiji, .Norfolk Mind, Queensland and &ew Zealand. (Received April 2.9, at 1.20 a.m.) Sydney-, April 28. The postal authorities doubt the accu racy of the. cable relative to British subsidy for the Pacific cable. " .
