DUEL AND DEATH
(press association) (Received Jan 13 at 9.15 a m.) Beri in, Jan 12. A sensational duel was fought at Metz Some German military officers jostled a civilian named Tillman. Tho latter raised his stick and afterwards boasted he ha 4 thrashed the officers.
A Court of Honor compelled the senior officer involved to fight a duel at 10 paces.
The officer shot Tillman through the heart.
