FOOTBALL.
A meeting of the Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union will be held at Greymouth on Friday evening at eight o'clock.
Mr H. Holmes has been appointed Referee for the Ross-Hokitika Second match next Saturday.
The following transfers have been allowed by the Interim Committee of the Union : — J. Dixon from Reef ton Club to Occidental Club ; E. Brown from Oriental Club to Grey Club.
It is understood that an outside iteferee will be appointed by the Union for the Grey-Hokitika match next Friday.
The Management of the New Zealand Union are urging the Canterbury authorities to send a team to the West Coast this year. If this is not possible, it is to be hoped satisfactory arrangements will be made to facilitate the sending over of a mixed team.
