HOSPITAL AFFAIRS.

They might aleo remember tbat the hospital etetf are three months in arreari of pay and have not the power to rote ihemselves any guineas whatever. Tbia Board is composed of the picked men of the County Council and of the i Borougis ofj|Hokitika, Kumara and Boss *nd has much larger powers 'ban the late Trustees ever had. Surely their combined wisdom is tqual to the task of dragging the hospital coach out of the bog in which it sick?. If not lit them also perform happy deapat3h and leave the matter entirely to th^ Government to deal with. 1 1 However, the Board meets on Monday and no doubt we ehall then see something done volets they favor U9 with one more of tbese many adjournments.
