The properties in question consist of 64 acres ie four leases of 16 acres each, situated on the north side of the Bald Hill Ransje on the Cbristchurch-Hokitikaroad. One well defined reef, varying in thickness from 2ft to Br, has been proved to run through the leases, and several smaller ' reefs, showing gold freely, have been traced running parallel to the main one, but these have not yet been prospected.
