iN.Z. PBESS ASSOCIATION.] NEWSPAPER LIBEL SETTLED. Wellington, January 20. At the Supreme Court this morning, the case of Sawkins v. tbe Waipawa Mail, an action for libel alleged to be contained in the article upon which yesterday's prosecution was placed, the counsel for defence intimated that the case bad been settled, the plaintiff accepting £100 damages, without costs.
