Mr W. J. Hurst, M.H.R., was a passenger for Wellington by the Wairarapa, which left for South this afternoon.
Richard Feltus Champion, who went to Government House last night, and demanded the keys of the building from tho custodian, was again remanded to the lunatic asylum.
James Brown, bushman of Kaoo who had his foot cut off in the jam of two logs, died from his injuries.
Frederick Orren or Owen was committed for forgery.
The Education Board decided to reprimand the head master of Wellesly school re unauthorised holidays, and will deal with teachers who dismissed schools on the polling day of the general election, at next meeting.
