POSTPONEMENT OF SALE OF PUKEROA BLOCK. LAND DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND, SALE OF TOWN* AND RUBAL LANDS. Crown Lands Office, Auckland, 30th May, 1882. IHEEEBY NOTIFY that the FOLLOWING LANDS will be offered for SALE, by PUBLIC AUCTION, at the Survey Office at TAURANGA, on WEDNESDAY, tbe 28th day of June next, (instead of ou the 12th June, as previously advertised) at the heur of 11 o'clock in the forenoon :— « D. A. TOLE, Commissioner of Crown Lands. LANDS ON IMMEDIATE PAYMENTS. Tauranga County.— Pukeroa Block, near Maketu, Bay of Plenty. Maniatutu Village.— 55 sections, about 1 rood each, at an upset price of £30 an acre. Maketu Survey District.— Blocks Vlir, XI, XII, 32 sections, containiug 5632 acres, at an upset price of £l 1 an acre. Waihi Survey District.— Block V, 11 sections, containing 3476 acres at an upset price of £1 an acre. LANDS ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS. Waihi Survey District.—Block 11, 19 sections, containing 3423 acres, at an upset price of £1 10 a per acre, will be open for selection on the ♦'Deferred Payment System" on Wednesday the 21st June next., Note.— Applications for these tends will be received at this Office and at the Land Offices at Tauranga and Gisborne* In the event of more than one application being received for any one section, the right to occupy the same will be decided by auction, on Monday, the 26th day of June, 1882, at 12 o'clock noon at the Survey Office at Tauranga. Description of Lamd.— The Maniatutu Village, situated on the future main road from Tauranga to Opotiki, is about tbe centre of the above lands, and is distant from Tauranga 23 miles, from Te Puke 11 miles, and from Maketu 9£ miles, by partly-formed roads, the road from Kaikokopu to the village and onwards through the block being now under construction by Government. The laads in the Maketu and Waihi Survey Districts are all open, and consist of undulating fern bills running out to swamps in the northern portions, whilst the southern blocks are more broken. The soil is light, the vegetation consisting of fern; tutu, and flax. The swamp lands are in many cases of a superior character.

Plans may be seen, and further particulars of the lands obtained on application at all the principal Land Offices of the Colony.
