SAD ACCIDENT.
Wellington, September 23.
A sad accident occurred on a tram today, to a lad named W. Power, about 9 years of age, son of W. Power, tailor. He was Tiding on a tram and it is supposed while attempting to alight slipped and fell under the wheel. He was immediately removed to the hospital, where it was found necessary to amputate bis left arm and the fingers of the right hand. The lad had his right leg broken above the ancle, besides other serious injuries to the head. He is in a critical condition.
