NOTICES OF MOTION.

1. Mr Dale to move, " That tenders be invited for bridle track from Humffray's Gully, 12 miles along south bank of Arahura river, as sanctioned by Government in connection with vote for tracks on goldfielda."

2. Mr M'Goldrick to move, " That tenders be invited by next meeting for forming and metalling track from Galway Beach and tunnel track, around Gillespie's Bluff." r

3. Mr M'Goldrick to move, " That Mr Butler be instructed to form foot track between wire bridges on Waiho river. Also horse track for a few chains on north side of river to upper bridge, by day labor."

4. Mr Lang to move, " That Mr Beck be instructed to blaze line from Kokatahi road to trig line on the F.E. survey line on survey map, and to report on same by next meeting."

5. Mr Lang to move, " That plans and specifications be prepared, and tenders invited, for section 3, Kanieri Lake track (widening), by next meeting, as per resolution of Council. Also that Mr Beck ba instructed to prepare plan and specification for the remaining section, and have same on table by next meeting." 6. Mr Sandle to move, " That tenders be called trom persons willing to keep the bridge at the Upper Crossing clear of snags, &c ; tenderers to state the price per week fo: their services."

7. Mr Dale to move, ' l That the Government be again recommended by this Council, to reduce the fee for Miners Rights from £l to 10s in the ensuing session of Parliament."

Mr Dale to move, "That as the approach to the Kanieri bridge is threatened by the encroachment of the river, Mr Beck be instructed to protect the river bank with scrub and stone, for about 2 chains in length." 9. Mr Dale to move, " That when tenders are accepted by the Council, notice of such acceptance be sent to the successful tenderer within 48 hours after the tenders are dealt with."

10. Mr Dale to move, " That any two members of the Public Works Committee be authorised to sign contracts on behalf of the Council."

11 The Chairman to move, " Thafc on the Government granting the Council permission to occupy the late Public Works Office, plans and specifications be made and tenders be called for alteration, so as to have Council hall separate from Chairman's and Clerks office." 12. The Chairman to move, "That the County Chairman be authorised to make arrangements with the Bauic ot iSTew Zealand for an additional overdraft." 13. The Chairman to move " That a plan of the proposed track to Eel Creek be made, with a view of having the said track marked on the survey map of the district." 14. Mr M'Goldrick fo move, " That the notices of discontinuance of subsidies to ferries, sent to ferrymen south, be all withdrawn, and the ferry subsidies be continued as heretofore." 15. Mr Jack to move, •• That a sum of £20 be expended in making a track from Haast Saddle to Sea JBeach, passable for cattle and sheep, to open up the Casccde country." 16. Mr Jack to move, " That a sum of £5 be expended on the ford at the Habuka river, to enable horsemen and foot passengers to cross at low water." 17. Mr Jack to move, " That a sum of £12 be expended on the inland track from Mahel Point, towards the head of the Waitoto Lagoon."
