1. Mr Jack to move, •• That the Chairman's action in accepting Mr John Keylock's tender for clearing road-line Waitangi to Wateroa be approved and confirmed."

Mr M'Wbirter to move, " That plans and specifications now on table for construction of four spans to bridge the gap at (he Arahura, be 'adopted ; that tenders be at once called for the work, returnable on tbe 24th March, the said tenders to be dealt with by the Publis Works Committee on the 24th March."

3. Mr Seddon to move, " That inasmuch as t ! m Council did by resolution passed on the 11th day of January, positively promise to sign the Deed of Arrangement as between the creditors of the Arahura Road Board, the said Board and County Council, with a view of carrying out that promise, that Messrs M'Whirter Jack, apd the County Chairman, or any two of them be appointed in accordance with ' The Counties Act, 1876,' to sign the Deed as agreed upon.' The question of passing resolution confirming resolution to merge the Arahura Road Board to stand adjourned until the first bills are due in October next."

4. Mr Seddon to move, " (1) That the neces«ary steps be taken to raise a loan of &——— for tbe purpose of repairing damages caused by floods,— the Arahura Bridge. (2) That the repayment of said loan be secured on county revenue and paid off by instalments at the rate of £100 per month,"

Mr Seddon to move, " That on a loan being raised for the purpose of repairing damages to Arahura bridge, (1) That tollgates bo erected, one on the Kanieri and lioss road, and one on the One Mile Line road near the Arahura School, the proceeds from these gates to be placed to the credit of the sinking fund for repayment of the loan; (2) That a committee be appointed to revise tbe schedule of charges, with a vie 1 .? of framing them thut they shall not press harshly upon settlers bringing their produce to market ; (3) That tenders be called for from persons willing to take charge of gates, tenderers to state amount they are prepared to give for gates per month or per annum, and find approved security for fall amount of tenders."

6. Mr Seddou to move, "That a coaimittee be appointed to consider the question of ferries and ferry reserves, said committee to consist of the County Chairman, Messrs Dale, Hirter, M'Q-oldrick and the mover."

7- MrSeddontomove, "That the committee to revise the scale of charges to be made at toll-gites consist of the County Cha : rman, Messrs Hirter, M'Goldrick and tbe mover."

8 Mr Seddou to move, " That the question of subsidies for hospital and charitable aid purposes be reconsidered, with a view of paying subsidy on amounts voluntarily subscribed, in lieu of paying same by lump sum arbitrarily fixed by Council."

9. Mr Seddon to move, " That it is desirable that the Council should be represented at Conference on Charitable Aid Bill to be held at Kumara, and, that the County Chairman and Mr Reid, M.H.R., be the delegates appointed to represent the Council.".

MrSeddontomove, "That the various ridings be divided into sub-districts and, that tenders be called for supply of horses and drays for each sub-district, for twelve months, when required by road overseers. Tenderers to state price per day per week, how much for river work aud how much for road work. Tenderers to bs p esenfc with their horses and drays at Hokitika tbe day tenders are to be opened, so that councillors and road inspectors may select those most suitable, '

Mr Seddon to move, "That the County Clerk be instructed to prepare, and lay before the Council at its next meeting, a statement, showing the amounts that have been spent annually iv each riding since the first commencement of the Council. That the said statement particularise each work or vote and what has been spent on main roads and what on general work. That for the future there Joe kept a Debtor and Creditor Account against each riding, and that the amount raised in each riding be expended therein, but should any riding, from its own revenue, be unable to construct work, or, maintain roads, bridges, or ferries, then, in such case, shall it borrow from one or more of the other ridings and stand indebted to them in the amounts so borrowed. The estimated revenues of each riding to be determined on the following basis:— Publicans' licenses as per number issued iv each riding ; rates and subsidies as per rate roll for each tiding ; revenue as per number miners' rights, and business licenses, issued in each riding ; gold duty as per average amount earned, by those actually engaged in goldmining operations, in each riding. The report compiled by the Wardens for each district annually, to be the basis." 12 The Chairman to move, "That the report of the Committee on Pound Charges, dated the 10th March, 1880, be adopted."

13 Mr Sandle to move, " That the report of the Finance Committee, dated 10th March, 1880, be adopted." 14. Mr Hirter to move, " That the accounts, as submitted by the Finance Committee, be passed for payment."
