THE TYPE STEALING CASE.

Christchubcii, October 2. The charge of larceny of type from the North Canterbury News has occupied the Supreme Court all day till 7.15 p.m, The jury acquitted M. H. Browne, and returned a verdict of guilty against the two Mahouy's and Devanuy, with a strong recommendation to mercy in favor of Mahoney, junr., and Devauny, The prisoners will be sentenced to-morrow.
