AWAED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THK PUBLIC DEBTS SINK- • ING FUNDS. i j TT^NOW all men by these presents, _i\_ that whereas by " The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868,'.' it is provided that if and whenever it shall be made to appear to the Cominiesionei s of the Public f Debts Sinking Fund- that any of the debentures issued under any of the Acts ( i or Ordinances specified in the First or Second Schedules thereto have' been conveited or exchanged for debentures issued under "The Consolidated Loan Act, 1867," the Commissioners shall from time to time determine what amount of the sinking fund hold by them and created for the payment of such first mentioned debentures shall be released, and that the Commissioners shall make such determination by an award in writing : And whereas it has been rraOe to appear to the s id Commissioners that debenture? to the amount of one hundred nnd seventy-two thousand three hundred pounds, being a portion of the debentures to the amount of three hundred tbou?and pounds issued under " The Lyttclton- and Cbristcburch Railway Loan Ordinance, 1860," being one of the Ordinances named in the Second schedule to tbe said "'Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868, have been converted or exchanged for debentures issued under " The Consolidated Loan Act, 1867," and debentures ot the said loan to the amount of fifty thousand pounds have been paid off antl cancelled, and that the amount of tbe debentures still outstanding find unconverted of the said loan of three hundred thousand pounds is thereby reduced to seventy-seven thousand seven hundred pounds : And whereas the sum of forfy thousand one hundred and eighty-five pounds nineteen shillings and sixpence is beld by the paid Commissioners as accumulated sinking fund for the repaymeut of the said loan ot three hundred thousand pounds, and the sum of twenty -cine thousand pounds of the said accumulated siukini; fund with interest thereon, together with the: sinking fund hereafter accruing and interest thereon, will be sufficient to reproduce the said sum of seventy-seven thousand seven hundred pounds, being the amount of the outstanding and unconverted portion of the faid loan of three buudred thousand pounds, on or before the dates fixed by law for the repayment thereof, being not earlier than the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninetythree, or later than the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven : And whereas it has further been made to appear to the said C -mmissioners that debentures to the amount oi two hundred i:nd ten thousand six hundred pounds, being a part of the debentures to tbe amount of two hundred and thirty-three thousand four hundred pounds issued under " The Canterbury Loan Ordinance, 1862," being one of the Ordinance* named in the Second Schedule to the said " Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868," have been converted or exchanged for debentures issued under " The Consolidated Loan' Act ; 1867," and that the amount of the debentures still outstanding and unconverted of the said loan . of two hundred and thirty-three thousand four hundred pounds is thereby reduced r to twenty-two thousntid eight hundred pounds : And whereas the sum of sixteen thousand four hundred and ninety pounds ' twelve shillings is held by -the paid Commissioners as accumulated sinking fund i for the repayment, of the said sum of two hundred and thirty three thousand four " hundred pounds, and the sum of one thousand pounds o( the said ac simulated sinking fund, with interest thereon, \ together with the sinking fund hereafter | accruing, and interest thereon, will be s sufficient to reproduce the said sum ot
