OLD HOKITIKA.

Sir,— l wish to correct a mis -statement which appeared in yonv issue of the 28th, namely, that when the Nelson steamer crossed the Hokitika bar, the only storekeeper doing business was Mr J. R. Fraser, The first storekeepers in Hokitika, were Ramsay and Co ., and Price and Hudson, who started on the banks of the Hokitika, on the Ist of October, 1864. I am, &c,
