MELBOURNE MARKETS.

In the import market a moderate business only has been done to-day. No special sales nave been reported, but a very much improved feeling is noticeable in more than one staple article. Breadstuffs continue to stiffen. Flour is going off freely at £i:i and in some instances £13 2s 6d has been paid, with the prospect of 2s 6d more ueing obtained. Wheat is very scarce, and though buyers are- willing to give 6s 31 for prime, yet the price fails to draw out supplies. We are iv consequence wiihout any fresh business to refer to.
