WARDEN'S COURT.

There were no cases before the Court, but Mr Warden Price settled a dispute upon the Duke's Terrace of an objection to Brophy and party's tail-race, laid by M'Donald and party. After remaining on the ground nearly an hour, and paying three visits there during the day, the Warden ordered all the tail races on the terrace to be constructed straight instead of allowing them to be curved, thereby inserfering with each other. In Riving his decision, his Worship remarked that the township was greatly in the way of the workings from the terrace, and had he the power delegated to him, he would have the township removed in the course of three months, to the advantage of both miner and business-man Some of the persons present suggested that the publicans should be compensated with twelve months' free retail licenses. His Woiship, after inquiring the number of persons that would wish to receive such a? their compensation, seemed to consider it rather doubtful whether the proposal would receive favor from the Government.
