Previous to his Worship leaving the Bench, and so soon as defendant had left the Court, one of his former mates named Donald M'Lean, stepped forward and informed hia Worship that defendant had committed perjury, inasmuch as he (M'Leau) could prove that the claim yielded as much as £1 per week per man. After the Court rose, M'Lean seemed unwilling to bear out his statement by laying nn information, and attempted to give a different version of the story. Subsequently, an information was laid by the police, who have taken the case in hand.
