The favorite p.s. Charles Edward arrived at the wharf last night at 11 o'clock, this being her first appearance here since the accident which befell her at the Hollyford River, Martin's Bay. The "Edward," it will be remembered, left the above place on the sth inst., and arrived in Nelson on the 7th, having made a run up of forty-seven hours even in her disabled state. During the eight days she remained at Nelson the vessel underwent a thorough overhaul to hull and machinery, and the smart boat now comes into port in as good order as ever she was. We are glad to learn that she will, for some time at least, remain in the trade between the West Coast ports and Nelson. Of her passage down on the present trip the report says, that she left Nelson on Saturday last at 10 p.m., arriving off the Buller at 5 p.m. the following day, making a very smart run of nineteen hours. Crossed the Buller at 9 p.m., and next morning, after discharging a very lprge freight, left again for this port at 1 p.m., arriving off this bar at 9.30 p.m., and crossing as above. The Charles Edward experienced very flue weather during the trip. She leaves this morning, at 10 o'clock, for Greymouth, Westport and Nelson.

The b.s. Murray cleared out yesterday morning for Nelson, via the Coast ports, and took her departure across the bar about halfpast ten o'clock.
