Westport — 21st, 11 p.m., Kennedy, for Hokitika ; 22nd, 1 p.m., Lyttelton, for Nelson. The schooner Kaiuma is loading at Dunedin for this port, and was expected to sail about the 20th instant. The Crest of the Wave had been on the berth, but was withdrawn, and placed on the berth for Fiji. The schooner Wild Wave, with a cargo of produce, sailed from Lyttelton on the 15th instant. The Aborigine, with a quantity of sawn timber n"-l other cargo, was 'towed to ssa yestcrda,. by the Lioness, and, on casting off from the steamer, set sail for Melbourne. The s.s. Waipara returned from _her Southern trip yesterday. Her present trip has been more protracted that the previous, owing to bad weather havingdetaiaed her for a considerable time in the Haast, but, with that exception, the voyage has been a fine one, and she succeeded in visiting all the places, communicating with the miners, and supplying them with provisions. She attempted to Mm at Okarito on the trip up, but, on arri . off the bar, the channel was found to ' in a wretched state. She anchored ' the night, intending next mornrn; empt landing with the boat, and fc i ■ -pose stood close in shore, but found n\\, .ticable. Ihen stood on for htcrt quruvrs, arriving alongside the wharf as ab« c. The s.s Kenii' . crossed the bar yesterday, early on the floou ude. On her present trip she brought a heavy cargo for Coast ports. Having a quantity of bonded goods on board, she was berthed alongside the transit shed, where she discharged, and got away again on the same tide for Greymouth. Of her passage down, Captain Whitwcll reports leaving Nelson on Monday at midnight, and arrived at the Buller at 10 p.m. en Tuesday; left there again on the same tide, and arrived here as above. The s.s. Tararua arrived at Lyttelton yesterday, having made a very long stay at Dunediu. We believe the Tararua will be pushed round the remainder of the ports in order that she may be in time to take up her running at her advertised date for Melbourne. The s.s. Murray arrived at We&tport yesterday morning, and was to sail late last night for tills port. Slie niay therefore be fully expected to cross the bar this morning. The s.s. Rangitoto did not show up last night, as was expected. The probabilities axe, however, that she will do so this morning. As we before stated, the Rangitoto will have quick despatch for Northern ports.
