CRIMINAL SITTINGS. Wednesday, Decembeb 11, 1867. (Before His Honor E. Clarke, Esq., Judge.) The Court re-opened this morning at eleven o'clock. REGIJiA V. MIIJ7EB. The Crown Prosecutor said that, in tho case of Regina v. Miller, the prisoner had been held lo bail to appear on the 12th Dec. . .. There was also another case from Greymouth. He had, therefore, to apply that the Criminal Sittings might bo adjourned to the I7tb. instant. His Honor ordered tho Criminal Sitting! to be adjourned to the 17th instant, afc eleven a.m., when the same Jury panel will be re« quired to attend. CIVIL SITTINGS. | COWLISUAW AND PLAI3THD V. BTOXK. Plaintiffs in person. Defendant did not appear. This was an action to recover money for goods sold and delivered. The debt having been proved, the Court gave judgment for plaintiffs for the full amount claimed with costs. TUXBBIDGE V. HOPE. This caso had been adjourned from last session, with leave to defendant to amend his pleas. Mr Button said that the cvse bad sUpped his memory, and the amendment consequently had not been made. It was. simply to this effect a denial on the part of the defendant of making the note which, was the subject of the action. Under these circumstances he would apply to have tho case adjourned to tho 17th instant. The Court granted the adjournment. The Court adjourned to the 17th instant, at eleven a.m.
