THE HON. JOHN HALL.
TO TIIE EDITOB OP THE WEST COAST TIMES.
Sir — The Separation League received, some time since, a telegram from tlio Hon. Mr Stafford, the Premier, announcing the departure from Wellington in a few days of the Hon. John Hall to organise the necessary arrangements for bringing into operation the County of Westlaud Act. It may bs expected that Mr Hall will soon arrive amongst U3. Ought not the League Council to take some steps to give Mr Hall a hearty reception on his arrival? They are tuo proper persons to do it ; and they could not more gracefully put the crown upon their work. I nope they will take the hint, if no one else lias given it to them before. And as our worthy Mayor is the Vice-President of the League, he might very properly take the initiative in nia double official capacity. I am, &c., A Member oy thb Lbagub. Hokitika, Oct. 22, 1867.
