BALLROOM’S SUMMER CUP SUCCESS AT RANDWICK

SYDNEY, Dec. 26 (Rec. 7.50 pm).— Ballroom completed the Villiers-Sum-mer Cup double for Trainer C. McLoughlin when she won the Summer Cup today at Randwick in a photo finish from the unlucky Great World. Ridden by the Queensland apprentice, F. Clarke, Ballroom was always handy, staying back behind Crown Street and Great World. In the final challenge she was just too good. The favourite, Yeoval, covered much extra ground and could not do better than fourth. In the December Stakes, Sunshine Express bounced quickly into the lead and managed to stay in front the whole distance. Results: Summer Cup.
