WANGANUI CENTRE CHRISTMAS BOWLING TOURNEY TODAY

Today the Wanganui Bowling Centre’s Christmas fours tournament is to start. Bowls are to be on the mats for inspection at 8.45 a.m. Forty-two fours have entered for the tournament and have been divided Into three sections of 15 fours in each. There will be fours here from the Hawera Bowling Club, Central Club (Petone), Devenport (Auckland) and the Feilding Club. The four which won the tournament last year has entered again. It is skipped by W. Burns, who has M. Blackwood as lead, T. Proudfoot two, and A. Brougham as three, ft is from the Wanganui East Club, which defeated a four from the same club skipped by Claude Haworth, last year.
