Milk May Have To Be Poured Away In Waikato
AAUCKLAND, Last Night < p A).— Unless the strike is settled within a short time. Waikato dairy producers face a serious less. Dairy factories have only sufficient room in their stores for three days’ output, although some can hold a further day s production on the factory floor. On Tuesday, if rail transput is still not available, factories will have to instruct their supplies not to send in their cream, and milk which cannot be fed to the pigs, will have to be poured away. Efforts were made to have the produce brought to Auckland by road transport, but the factories were advised that the Auckland freezing chamber hands would not handle any dairy products which were not brought to the city by the usual means.
